Wink mit dem Zaunpfahl
Gerade denke ich beim Ausräumen des Geschirrspülers über Achtsamkeit nach, da fällt mir ein Glas aus der Hand und zerbricht.

Google will translate Achtsamkeit with “Mindfulness” – but I’m unsure… Do you mean the psychological approch kind of mindfulness, or just plain “taking good care about things around you” (which would be called “aktsamhet” in Swedish – hence my confusion!).
As for Mindfulness in the psychological sense – I’d say the situation would be rather ideal for practising mindfulness. You know: Stop, Observe, Accept, Let go…? ;-)
Either way – I hope you didn’t hurt yourself on the shattered glass!

I’ve just taken a look at the Google-translated version, and it’s a wee bit off. Here is what I had written in English:
“Just as I was thinking about mindfullness while emptying the dishwasher, a glass slips from my hand and breaks.”
The translation of the title is literally ok but won’t make much sense unless you know the proper meaning of “Wink mit dem Zaunpfahl” in German. Then you will see I took the whole episode as a kind of Koan just as you suggested. :-)

You see – I have a lot of studying to do next year, to wrap my head around all these idiomatic expressions…! Oh well – at least I won’t get bored!
I wish you a very happy new year in every sense of the word! :-)
