Es läuft wieder

Will sagen: Ich laufe wieder.

This sure is a jogging city, ppl seem to be jogging everywhere, all the time… I’m a bit of a loner with my “nordic walking”-sticks (aka nerdy sticks), but I did catch glimpse of a fellow nerd the other night! She seemed pleased to see me too…!

Yay for any type of movement, actually. (Back when I could jog, before my back got too screwed up, I used to have music on – and it was a great way to “measure” progress. I started from the same playlist every time, and could easily note how much longer into the first song I could actually keep running, before I had to stop. And if I really succeeded putting the playlist together, the best song would alway come up right when I was near-death, but I still had to run when THAT song came up. Music rocks – for everything, pretty much!)

Did you run around the lake? We walked there and I thought of you as I saw the many joggers (since you mentioned taking up jogging again), and the many ppl w/ cameras (like myself!)… A lovely day it was, both for shooting photos and jogging!

No, I am not running around the lake (yet). It’s approx. 7.5 km. Also, running around there seems to be less about the running than the being seen, and currently I do not fancy being seen…

Yes, music… Good idea actually, but I, well, have some, say, difficulties with coming to terms with my taste in music. (I see I need to write about this once.)

If you are looking for “nerdy sticks” you’ll need to walk up to the Stadtpark, they’re all there. ;-)

Heh – I’m rather glad the “less about running, more about being seen” was for real, I noticed – but kind of thought it was just me…! I don’t give much for that kind of exhibitionistic exercising either, so I can definitely relate there. :)

Ah, last.fm… I should probably revive my account there – I used to have one, but then came Spotify and I didn’t really need it. But now I do. When, oh when are German music companies (or whoever it is) going to sign up for the best music service on the planet… ;) I shall check our playlists out tomorrow, it’s getting too late right now – but personally I think any music you like is good for exercise. But then again – that comes from a walker, not a runner… I have Josh Groban (tenor, I believe) in my iPod. Great for nerdy-stick-walking…! Which I shall head for Stadtpark to check out, thanks for the tip! I haven’t even been there yet, but now I have another reason to go!
